New Collaborator Magazine Debuts on iPad

Baltimore, Maryland – Independent developer Jeffrey Clark announced today the public launch of Collaborator Magazine. Debuting on Apple’s iPad Newsstand, Collaborator is the world’s first monthly digital periodical that explores how we advance society by working together. The inaugural issue is complementary for prospective readers.
The magazine brings together a digital media community from across myriad sectors: non-profit professionals, public servants, social entrepreneurs, activists, community builders, and concerned citizens who are interested in forging relationships to address social problems and promote the common good. Readers will find works on social innovations, grassroots initiatives, and tips for collaborating and forming partnerships. Topics include governance and citizen engagement, media reflections, the environment, business, personal well-being, arts and culture. The magazine is complemented by a blog, and forums on LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter for engaging with fellow readers in topical discussions.
The premiere issue features an in-depth interview with Jeff Raderstrong, founder of the UnSectored community platform. Also presented are tips on how to collaborate with others from positions of leadership, a piece on setting audacious goals for our communities, an argument for re-thinking how society is governed, the opportunity to join a global awareness campaign, and a case-study about a neighborhood group who started their own solar co-op.
The magazine was founded by Publisher and Editor Jeffrey Clark after he struggled to find tablet based periodicals dedicated to advancing the social good. He brings over a decade of experience working in public and private agencies, training and educational institutions, and print and digital media. Clark has masters degrees in social work and social justice in intercultural relations.
“It’s becoming increasingly clear that competing for funds, for clients, for recognition prevents us from addressing the social ills that surround us,” says Clark. “Collaborator Magazine is committed to forging a community around the idea that we can achieve more when we work together.”
